A letter to Ophelia

Before you grab those orchids think to yourself "Does he actually love you?" The answer is he will break your heart before finding a new girl. The girl will be just as pretty as you, but be full of innocence. You won't be able to win the hearts of men if you are dead. Floating down the river, waiting for new blood to run through your veins as he breaks your heart throughout everything you did for him. Be patient, young Ophelia. Clovers will grow out of your grave as young children grab them without thinking of you and how you decided a boy was worth more than just grabbing some other flowers that were closer in reach. They may not be as pretty or as sweet, but in time, you will grow to love them. Because before you know it, your flowers have wilted and you are stuck trying to grab some more waiting knowing one day you will meet your watery grave. Ophelia, he is not worth it. He is a fool and so are you. But promise me you will not go after those flowers ...

One year since//For Anton

You may know that June 19th is the one year anniversary that Anton Yelchin died. You may know him from movies such as Star Trek, Like Crazy, Fright Night, or even Charlie Bartlett. I'm going to explain what has happened since that day. It was Father's Day and I decided to wear my brand new Star Wars shirt for my dad. My mom invited her family over and they would be here any minute. I was on twitter and I saw a tweet saying something among the lines "RIP Anton Yelchin." My heart dropped. I felt the tears begin to swell and I began to slip into a panic attack. "Dad, I think Anton Yelchin died," I desperately tried to search for more information as I felt the tears begin to fall. "It's probably fake," he didn't look at how terrified I was in that moment. There it was as soon as I searched his name "Anton Yelchin killed in car accident at age 27." I couldn't hold back anymore, I let the tears fall. My heart was absolutely br...

Pantone 15-6120

Could I do something that isn't just sit in silence and watch anime As my jaw locks and my teeth clench In front of my computer screen as I hear the words "Heroes Never Die." My soul is the flickering light as the end of the tunnel A spark gone too soon. Flowers painted on bedside dressers Glitter embedded into carpets Tears staining the sheets that slowly caress me to sleep A simple hello, is all i've wanted. please dont leave me

i dont care at this point if i get that little yellow house with the big yard i dont care if i get my own craft room that ive spent weeks on painting the walls with my nana's old paint. i dont care if at night my pomeranian and two cats will ever end up cuddling with me every night i dont care if every day all i ever do is be creative i dont care if a nightingale comes to me each night and sings me to sleep i dont care if i end up with you or i end up having to live alone for the rest of my life as much as i want that to happen. i dont care i want to be happy that is all i care about the fact that my sassafras tea doesnt fill me up with creativeness like a draught that flows through every single part of my blood stream i care that my medication hasnt done much besides have me pray to god that maybe tonight i wont focus on the fact that i am indeed alone i Care about how on some days i just want to see the color that blood turns after it has been smudged with someone despe...

Iconic Female Characters: Princess Leia

So one year ago today, the short essay I wrote over one of my favorite characters was released. Unfortunately, the page was deleted. Luckily, I was able to track down my original essay and so here it is in memory of Carrie Fisher, I wish she could have read it: W hen I was younger, I wanted to be a princess. Unlike other wannabe princesses, I despised the idea of being a damsel in distress that had to be rescued. When I watched Star Wars: A New Hope for the very first time, I fell in love with the character that is Princess Leia Organa.  With tight little buns in my hair for months, I saw her as a role model for not only little girls, but for everyone.    Leia was a princess, like her title says, but she was not your average damsel in distress.  She has saved her group on numerous occasions. In fact, when Luke and Han met her for the very first time, they assumed they would be the ones rescuing her, but with her quick thinking, she saved the guys from the hand...

Old Forgotten Words and Ancient Memories

Lorelei Hemmings stuck at the bottom of a lake Unable to make an appearance to her own wake Her Boyfriend did this, you know He broke her heart and let her go To Drown. To Drown. To Drown. He filled a crate of memories to drag her down Lorelei was unable to be found for 20 years She waded herself out of the water, unable to stop her tears Black blood oozes down her nose She became a Siren, unable to decompose I wrote this little pretty ditty when I wanted to write a short story about how sirens were just girls who were drowned. I actually really loved the character and the plot so think of this as sort of a prologue. If people enjoy this, I'll definitely post more of my work. Until next time Glitter Flakes, ~Kathleen

Yandere Simulator OCs

So technically it is the last day of what would have been BEDIF. I failed epicly, but I hope to try this again in the future. For today, I have some OCs I made for a Machinima using Yandere Simulator. A Machinima is where you take a video game and sort of make your own story from it. Think of Red vs. Blue from Rooster Teeth. These are just some very rough versions of some OCs I made. I made most of them using Fire Alpaca.   The first two look the best because I made them in Photoshop. I'm not entirely sure what they will be named, but I am very excited to make this possible. Until next time, Glitter Flakes ~Kathleen
